Bought a ticket over the weekend, to hang out with friends. I'll be there 4 nights end of February/beginning of March. I hope it won't be toooo much like the hangover.

Stop by Shelby's near the NASCAR track in the north-east corner of the city, right next to the Air Force base where you can occasionally see fighter jets and the hometown Thunderbirds take off. Go there at about 10:30 am or 1:00 pm on a weekday for a rare guided tour behind the doors into the actual production/modification area.

For the Blackhawk collection a the Quads, print off free coupons here to save yourself $10-$20 per person . You could print a half dozen and they don't usually care.

Other than that, Wynn's got a Ferrari dealership in his hotel and Count's Cars is so-so.

Pretty similar. Lots of mountain biking, hiking, etc. There's also Red Rock Casino Resort that's pretty nice. So if you plan on doing a lot of exploring in that area, it's closer than the strip.

I lived in Vegas for a year, but haven't been back since I moved 4 years ago, so I'm going off memory and what friends who still live there have been doing.

I stuck to this shithole Karaoke bar 2 blocks off the strip called Ellis Island. Tons of talent. Tip the cute late 30's waitress well and you wont pay shit for your drinks. I would have had sex with her if I could have stayed up till 4am. Go eat Italian at Battistas Hole in the Wall. Complimentary red and white wine FTW

Haha, those are some good ideas! I'm liking the sound of Ellis Island, I'm definitely convincing my friends to go there. I always like the hole in the wall places, you never know who you might meet there. As opposed to the large clubs there where the music is so loud you can't hear fuck all of what girls are saying to you.

yeah it is a brewery as well. Def go there. There were tons of ladies there, the ones that work there are all pretty fine and friendly, and the blackjack has good odds it seems.

This place in particular will put you in a simulator first before they send you out. They also have your various supercar experiences as well, but at really good prices compared to other places. They'll also put an instructor in the car with you to help you go as fast as possible.

Yeah, last time I went to vegas I carried a flask and got absolutely shitfaced at a club that had $15 drinks, I kept ordering cranberry juice and discreetly spiking it, haha. Then at one point I stumbled into a VIP table full of girls and started complaining about the drink prices and they actually agreed and we all polished off my flask of whiskey, 'twas a great night. How on earth the fuck they didn't catch me and/or kick me out, I have no clue.

Yeah. I've never been, so I'm leaving casino/hotel choice to my friends.

There are 5 of us going. We were looking at pricing, and we can get a huge suite (split 5 ways) for not that much more a couple of regular rooms. Hangover recreation, here we come.

Yeah, I've only been once. We are thinking about just rolling the dice on hotwire for a 4-star hotel. When narrowed down to the south-strip area, can't really go wrong I dont think.

We are splitting 4 ways most likely (still talking one guy into this trip, haha).

We are staying 4 nights, so even though hotels are relatively cheap, it does add up for 4 nights.

Sweet! I'm (probably) flying in on March 3 for a... thing (it involves going fast, that's all I'm saying for now). It'll be my fifth trip to Vegas and yet I've never gambled, hit a bar, or hit a strip club. I'm either doing it very right or very wrong.

My tips: Go through the casinos on the main strip. Try to get into one of the inclinators at the Luxor (because of the pyramid shape the elevators go up diagonally instead of straight up. Feels weird, man). Check out the Lions at the MGM grand, be sure to watch the Bellagio fountains go off, and see the Volcano at Treasure Island & the live show at Ceasar's (it's free). Hit the go karts at Fast Lap for sure. If you like rides (roller coasters, etc), New York, New York has a good one, as does Circus Circus. If you're feeling brave you can do the rides atop the Stratosphere as well.

After sunset go up to Fremont Street, which was the Las Vegas strip before the Las Vegas strip (it became too crowded on Fremont and casinos were getting bigger, so the big names created the strip where there was near-unlimited space). The biggest thing to see here is the overhead video screen, which is built over the street and stretches for about 1,500 feet. Sadly it's often used primarily for advertising, but sometimes they'll have cool videos, aquatic scenes, and even occasionally live events playing on it. If you're lucky you'll also find one of the spray paint artists doing their thing beneath the screen. Check out the video below of Scott Mercer doing his thing.

If arcades are your thing you need to visit absurdly massive Gameworks on the strip across from the Bellagio. If someone told me they had over 100 games in there I wouldn't bat an eye. Best of all, they focus on the more immersive type games, not just joysticks and buttons. From DDR to Guitar Hero, to FPS games with large assault rifle controllers, to racing games with multiple screens and moving cockpits. Nearly every game in there is more than just a button masher.

If you're willing to throw down some scratch you can do one of the packages from Vegas Off Road Experience (VORE). They've got desert terrain tours, short course racing packages, and Ford Raptor tours, ranging from $50 for a 2 hour Raptor ride along to "if you have to ask" for four days of driving a desert race truck. They can also include playing with guns (machine guns, 50 caliber sniper rifle, shooting from a Humvee, blowing up a car). They are the vehicular embodiment of all that is right and ridiculous about Las Vegas. There are also a few trophy truck teams in Vegas, you'd have to call ahead but you could probably set up a shop tour with some of them. Try LVDC, Baldwin Motorsports, and Riot Racing for starters.

Thanks for the tips! I did actually go to Vegas once before and I stayed at the MGM, the Lions are awesome. I'm definitely going to see if anyone is up for Fast Lap, sounds like fun. Fremont street I definitely want to revisit. As for roller coasters, not my thing anymore, lol. That Off Road Experience sounds awesome and hilarious at the same time.

As for accommodations, we are planning on just booking a 4 star hotel on the strip via hotwire and hopefully get something good.

I hope your going fast thing, ehmm.,... Goes FAST! I do definitely intend on hitting the bars, gambling however, I can take it or leave it.
